SHOPLIFTERS have been arrested as part of a crackdown on crime in a Herefordshire town.

Multiple shops in Leominster have recently been targeted by a small number of people regularly shoplifting, said a spokesperson for the Leominster Safer Neighbourhood team. They added that in some cases, the offenders have been stealing low-value items on an almost daily basis from different shops in the town.

Leominster Safer Neighbourhood team along with their patrol colleagues have reportedly been working closely with Leominster’s stores to ensure that they could collect enough evidence to put the offenders’ cases before the courts.
