DRIVERS in Herefordshire are facing an uncertain journey home after work today as floods continue to rise across the county.
Roads across Herefordshire have been closed by floods today, including a number of key routes.
Among the closures is the busy Holme Lacy Causeway, while Holme Lacy Road is also closed outside the Wye Inn in Hereford, limiting access to the Rotherwas industrial estate. Drivers will need to take the relief road to leave the estate at present.
There are road closures on the A44, A4110, A438, and A44, plus a variety of B, C and unclassified roads in the county.

Among those who may have to find another route home this afternoon are drivers heading towards Bromyard or Ledbury.
Floodwaters are also understood to be rising fast on the A4103 roundabout at the bottom of Aylestone Hill, meaning that the road may not be accessible for much longer.
The B4224 towards Mordiford remains open at present, so drivers can leave the city via Hampton Park Road, while the A438 Ledbury Road is also open.
For drivers choosing to leave via the A49 towards Leominster, the A417 has now reopened at Bodenham. The A49 is understood to be flooded but still passable between Dinmore and Leominster.
Drivers heading to rural areas surrounding Leominster will also be likely to find their journeys hit, with roads in Leintwardine, Monkland, Wigmore, Pembridge, Shobdon, and Orleton among those still closed.
For drivers heading to the south of the county, the picture is much better, with far fewer road closures in place.
Rivers are still on the rise in the county, meaning that the situation could become worse later on today.
