Flood warnings have been issued across Herefordshire after Storm Henk brought heavy rain to the country, with the river Wye peaking in Hereford last night at over five metres.

Busy routes including Holme Lacy Road, the A44 at Monkland, and the A417 at Bodenham, to name a few, have all been hit by road closures during the flooding, with some now also reopened.

Several drivers have found themselves getting into trouble in the flooding, including on Holme Lacy Road, where a taxi was among those stranded in the water, and at the A4103 roundabout at the bottom of Aylestone Hill, where a number of cars broke down after attempting to navigate deep floods yesterday.
