SEVERAL dogs have been rescued from floods in Herefordshire in the wake of Storm Henk.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said that 20 vehicle rescues were carried out on January 2 and 3, and some of these involved dogs.
The first dog was rescued at Turnpike Corner in Pembridge at 5.03pm on January 2, along with two people, who were all in a van.

The following day at 11.46am, the fire service were called to Paytoe Lane in Leintwardine where another two people and a dog were rescued using a sled and poles. One of the people required care from the ambulance service.
Later on January 3, another dog needed to be rescued from Moreton-on-Lugg. A boat crew and water first responder crew were called to push the dog and two people to safety at around 3.30pm.
Today (January 4) five flood warnings remain in place in Herefordshire and several roads are closed due to flooding, after Storm Henk battered the UK earlier this week.
