A HEREFORDSHIRE school has announced that it will be closed today and tomorrow.
Fairfield High School in Peterchurch will shut its doors at 11 am today and tomorrow (January 9 and 10) due to a partial power failure meaning there is no heating or hot water and that the kitchens cannot adequately provide food.
Due to the need for parts for repairs to ensure Health and Safety compliance, Fairfield will be running as a virtual school on the 10th January, please check google classroom for details.
A spokesperson for the school said: "Due to power and heating failure intermittently across the school including the kitchen we must close the school with immediate effect. We also have limited phone technology available and are unable to use our information systems.
"Buses will arrive at school at 11.15am to take children home.
