EMERGENCY services were called to a Hereford road this afternoon (January 10).
Both the police and ambulance service were sent to Hunderton Road shortly before 3.15pm after an elderly man had fallen.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "Upon arrival, we found an elderly man who was assessed and had sustained serious injuries.
"He received treatment at the scene and was conveyed to Hereford County Hospital for further treatment.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson added that officers were asked to assist with traffic management, but was unable to say if the road was closed.
According to traffic monitoring site Inrix, the incident happened near to Charles Witts Avenue but it has now cleared.
Google Maps also implies that there is no traffic in Hunderton Road, with the only congestion on nearby Belmont Road.
