A TEENAGE girl from Hereford has given an update on her mission to save a boat that was sunken in the river Wye for 20 years.
Paige Hyde, 13, and her mother Laura Washbourne became the owners of the Wye Princess, a disused river cruise boat, last year.
The boat had been left in the river for over 20 years after the business operating the tours closed, but now, Paige and her crew of volunteers have removed it from the water to be restored, and are hosting a fundraising event.
The event includes a talk from Paige and her crew about the boat's history, as well as a bingo, raffle and refreshments.

Paige said: "This event is to raise money in order to create a charity and restore the Wye Princess to do river trips.
"This will include me and my crew talking about the boat. I will also talk about how I began this journey and my plans going forward."
The event will take place on Saturday, February 17 with doors opening at 6.30pm, at Saxon Hall in Hoarwithy Road, Hereford.
