A LANDMARK pub that is by one of the busiest routes in Herefordshire is still closed 'due to staffing issues'.
Thousands of vehicles pass the Trumpet Inn on a daily basis, due to it being at a crossroads that links both the Hereford to Ledbury and Leominster to Gloucester roads.
A spokesperson for Wadworth, the pub company that operates the Trumpet Inn, has told the Hereford Times that it was put on the market and we sold the pub at the end of 2023.

However, a sign still remains outside the pub saying it is closed until further notice 'due to staffing issues'.
Overall, the Trumpet Inn has a four-star rating on Tripadvisor from 538 reviews.
Posting last August, alane232 believed the pub could soon be under new management.
The post reads: "We stayed overnight in a little camp field out back, basic facilities but only £23 with EHU, good food in pub but will be under new management soon so not sure what the future holds. Let's hope so."
