THE TEAM behind Beefy Boys is celebrating a major milestone.
The Hereford-founded eatery is marking the first anniversary of its Cheltenham restaurant, its second restaurant outside of its home city.
Burger fans across Gloucestershire have now had a whole year to enjoy one of our county’s most respected brands, which has found its home in the former Bill’s restaurant on Regent’s Street and brought its menu of dirty American-style burgers and loaded fries including veggie options, indulgent sides, cocktails and their signature hard alcoholic milkshakes to the area.
The road to this milestone taken over a decade, with the Beefy Boys first being launched in 2011 by a quartet of burger-loving childhood friends and opening its flagship restaurant in the Old Market in Hereford in 2016, having come second place in the World’s Best Burger competition at the World Food Championship in Las Vegas the previous year.

Their second restaurant, in Shrewsbury, followed in 2021, with the Cheltenham premises starting up on February 25 last year, operating alongside their food van, which regularly visits special events and locations across the region.
A spokesperson for the eatery said: “Happy one-year Anniversary to our Cheltenham branch!
“It’s been one whole year since we opened in Cheltenham and we can’t thank the people of Cheltenham enough. We're incredibly grateful for all the support you've shown us.
“Our Beefy family have been absolutely amazing and a big thank you to them for their hard work in the past year.
“Time flies when you're having fun, so here's to many more years to come.”
