A plan has been put forward for ten more new houses in a Herefordshire village.
Nearly a hectare of farmland to the west of Whitchurch, southwest of Ross-on-Wye, would be developed under a planning application (number 240240) by Louise Forrester of nearby Yew Tree Farm.
Lying within the Wye Valley area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB), the land is earmarked for new housing in village’s development plan.

The proposed scheme would be made up of four two-bedroom semi-detached, three three-bedroom detached and three four-bedroom detached houses.
The new development would share road access with nine houses have recently been completed in Symonds Yat View immediately to the north, whose layout it would “broadly mirror”.
The ten would be finished in a mix of dark brick, composite timber cladding and render, with slate and metal sheet roofs. South-facing roofs would have solar panels, while air-source heat pumps would provide heating.
The application can be commented on until February 29.
