A NEW shop selling locally produced sweet and baked goods is set to open soon in a Herefordshire town.
'Cakes, Bakes and Makes' have announced that they will be opening in the former Age UK unit in West Street, Leominster at 10 am on February 22, after a number of delays.
The shop was originally set to open in December, however extensive renovations were necessary to make the premises suitable for its new use, with the location previously being used as an office. New flooring had to be installed and a new kitchen fitted, creating space for both a shop and an area where goodies can be freshly created on-site.

The team behind the shop specialise in chocolate making, baking and cake decorating and is aiming to provide locals with a large selection of freshly baked cakes, pies, cheesecakes and chocolates. There will also be pop-up stalls made available for other local producers.
Prior to collaborating on the shop, all of the founders ran their own independent businesses, with one of the co-founders, Sharon Barrell, operating ‘Sharon’s Cake Shop’ which has amassed almost three thousand followers on Facebook. She is known for producing elaborately decorated cakes, often featuring characters from popular culture.
Plenty of locals have taken to social media to express their excitement for the soon-to-open shop.
Sarah Jones said: “Brilliant!
“Very best wishes for your new venture!”
Shirley Harris chimed in, she said: “Good luck, looking forward to seeing you.”
