A HEREFORD woman has been jailed after taking a car without the owner's consent, and driving it without a licence or insurance.
Verity Lulay, of Ethelstan Crescent, Hereford, was driving a Kia Stonic near her home on February 5.
She pleaded guilty to charges of taking a motor vehicle without the owner's consent, using a motor vehicle on a road without insurance and driving while disqualified.
Lulay, who was represented by A Rana at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on February 8, was jailed for six weeks and disqualified from driving for 1,165 days with an extension period of 982 days.

She was said to have a previous poor driving record, with her record being endorsed again for these offences.
Magistrates took into account the serious nature of the offence when sentencing her to a custodial sentence, and also said that these offences had taken place while Lulay was subject to a suspended sentence.
However, her sentence had been reduced as a result of her guilty plea.
