A HEREFORD businessman will be celebrating his 66th birthday in style by tackling the world’s biggest single-structure abseil tower.
Steve Yarwood, managing director of Securcom Systems, will be taking on the epic challenge to raise funds for the Boparan Charitable Trust.
The adrenaline-fuelled challenge will take place on June 1 down the side of the National Abseil Centre in Northamptonshire, which stands at over 400ft tall, the same as the iconic London Eye.

"I'm looking forward to the challenge and hopefully raise £25,000 for such a great charitable trust, everyone involved within the trust works so hard putting things into place to support these children.”
Gareth Aston, director of the Boparan Charitable Trust, added: “It is not often that a fundraiser makes me speechless, but this challenge of Steve’s is truly epic.
"We are eternally grateful to him for choosing us for this phenomenal adventure and as the beneficiary of his landmark birthday.”
