Crash casualties
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson told the Hereford Times last night that there were two casualties.
Two crews were called at 6.30pm, the spokesperson said, with firefighters working to make the scene safe.
The crash involved two cars which were both on all four wheels with no persons trapped, while two people were handed over to the care of the ambulance service, the fire service spokesperson said.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said crews were called to the crash just after 6pm, and that the road was closed for around five hours.
"One man was taken to hospital with serious injuries," the spokesperson said.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said an elderly man, who was driving one of the cars, was found in a "potentially serious condition".
He received treatment at the scene before being taken to Hereford County Hospital for further treatment.
