IN answer to John Dixon’s assertion that drivers do not park their cars on roundabouts, I am sorry to say they do (Workmen blasted over double yellows on Hereford roundabout, February 9).
Just take a look at the roundabout outside Aylestone School at the afternoon finishing time, you will see that cars are parked on the inside and outside of the roundabout.

Editor's note: the double yellow lines painted on the roundabout in Hereford in January have now been removed, with Herefordshire Council claiming their appearance was an 'error'.
The council added that it was not "usual" practice to paint double yellow lines on roundabouts.
