A BURGLAR has been jailed after being convicted of offences committed in Herefordshire last year.
Christopher Murphy was convicted of burglary and possession of a class A drug last year, and handed a suspended prison sentence.
Now, he has failed to comply with community requirements of the suspended sentence, and will spend six months in prison.
Murphy, of Cheaton Close, Leominster, pleaded guilty to the offences at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on September 1, 2023.
He had stolen £2,525 worth of clothes from the Original Factory Shop in Broad Street between July 15 and 17.
He had also taken a silver Dell laptop and £140 in cash from Westfield Walk Pharmacy on August 12.
The 32-year-old was found to be in possession of cocaine on August 12.

When he was convicted of the offences, magistrates handed him a six month suspended sentence lasting 18 months.
This required him to attend probation appointments.
However, he failed to attend these appointments without a reason for his absence, so his sentence was activated at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on February 13.
