A NEW charity shop near Hereford has given an update ahead of its opening.
St Michael's Hospice is gearing up to open a shop in Whitestone this spring, and has now opened for donations.
The hospice has revealed that its donation centre will open to the public on February 22.
A spokesperson for the St Michael's Hospice said: "Initially open four days a week, the donation centre will be the heart of our donation services across Herefordshire, allowing us to sort, upcycle and curate your pre-loved items to sell at Whitestone or distribute to out other shops across the county. Your donations help to provide hospice care to over 2,000 people across Herefordshire each year, so we have designed this space to make donating even easier for you.
"The launch of the Whitestone donation centre marks the first phase of our transformation from furniture warehouse to community-focused space with shop, cafe and upcycling centre. The next phase of this project, the opening of our shop and cafe, is due to complete this spring."
The 50,000 square foot community hub at the former IJL Brown site in Whitestone Business Park is St Michael's Hospice's largest site yet.

You can donate good quality pre-loved items including furniture, clothing, toys, books and media, and bridal and occasion wear.
A date has not yet been set for the opening of the shop itself.
