AN attacker from Hereford has been sentenced after assaulting a woman.
Kristian Jones entered a guilty plea to one count of assault by beating when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford in February.
The court heard from prosecutor Melanie Winterflood that the 41-year-old from Herefordshire had assaulted a woman by beating in an incident in Mountain Ash, Wales, on September 20 last year.

Magistrates took his guilty plea into account when sentencing him, but did not award any compensation to the victim as they said that she had not supported Jones' prosecution or requested any compensation.
But Jones, of Whitestone near Hereford, was fined £100 for the offence and was ordered to complete a "building better relationships" rehabilitation programme.
£135 in prosecution costs was also ordered to be paid.
