A TEENAGER has been banned from the roads after he was caught drink-driving in Herefordshire.
Bobby Pugh entered a guilty plea to one count of driving while over the alcohol limit when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford this month.
The court heard from prosecutor Owen Beale that the 19-year-old defendant had been caught behind the wheel of a Renault Clio in Stockley Hill, Herefordshire, while over the drink-driving limit on July 3 last year.
A blood test by police revealed that the teenage driver had 86 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, exceeding the limit of 80 milligrams.

Pugh, who is of Lugwardine in Herefordshire, was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months and fined £120, with magistrates saying they had taken his guilty plea into account when imposing the penalty.
He was also ordered to pay costs of £135 and a £48 victim surcharge.
Pugh was offered the opportunity to complete the drink-driving rehabilitation course, which will reduce his ban by 12 weeks if fully completed.
