JEWELLERY has been stolen after burglars struck at a home in a Herefordshire town.
The incident was reported at Progress Close in Ledbury, with police saying several items including jewellery had been taken.
Police Constable Jack Davies of West Mercia Police said: "We are appealing to the community for information following a burglary at a home in Progress Close, Ledbury.
"The burglary happened between 7.15pm and 9.40pm on February 26.
"The offender forced entry to the home. It's believed the offender entered through an insecure window. Numerous items were stolen from the address including jewellery.

"Thank you for your help. It is only by the police and the public working together that we can detect crime."

PC Davies added that there are some inexpensive and effective things you can do to help secure your home and property.
The police advise making your property visible by avoiding tall fencing at the front of your home, and installing CCTV, alarms and lighting.
The police are also alerting the public to be aware of distraction burglary as a tactic used by some criminals who call at your home and try to distract victims.
