A DRINK-driver has been banned from the roads after he was caught out in Hereford city centre.
Andrew Riley entered a guilty plea to one count of driving while over the alcohol limit when he appeared before magistrates this month. He was defended at the hearing by defence solicitor Chris Read.
The court heard from the prosecutor Owen Beale, of the Crown Prosecution Service, that the 28-year-old had been caught out in Hereford's Commercial Road while over the drink-driving limit on January 1.

An evidential breath test revealed he had 68 microgrammes (mg) of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The limit is 35 mg.
Riley, of Bishops Frome, near Bromyard, was fined £120 and banned from driving for 17 months for the offence, with magistrates taking his guilty plea into account when imposing the penalty.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £135 and a £48 victim surcharge.
