I AM involved with the night time economy as a street pastor and consider monitored CCTV of vital importance (Saved... for now, the CCTV system that keeps us safe, February 15).
Simply recording is of little or no use. We rely on it to help those who may need our assistance, whether it is physical or emotional support.

Pubs and clubs also rely on their services to monitor possible troublemakers and undesirables.
The council needs to fund this service. After all, it is their city centre, not the police’s or clubs’ and pubs’.
