HEREFORDSHIRE'S Ellie Goulding put her marriage split behind her last night to perform at The BRIT Awards - and viewers said it was the highlight of the show. 

The 37-year-old, who grew up in Lyonshall, near Kington and studied in the county, took to the stage to perform her smash hit Miracle with Calvin Harris. 

She wore a white ruffled bodysuit and thigh-high boots, with fans rushing to X (formerly Twitter) to crown her performance. 

One said: 'Ellie Goulding's performance has been the highlight of the night. It was fabulous.

While another wrote: 'Incredible song/performance from Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding'.

Last week, Ellie announced that her four-year marriage to Caspar Jopling has ended and was pictured with surf instructor Arrmando Perez.

However, music was solely on her mind at the O2 Arena in London, and she dazzled on the red carpet prior to the show. 

Later in the night, Calvin Harris praised Ellie during his acceptance speech after winning the best dance act, saying he wouldn't be on the stage if it wasn't for her.

Overall, the main winner of the night was Raye, who picked up a record six gongs. Kylie Minogue also performed after receiving the Icon Award.
