AN ATTACKER has been ordered to undergo drug and alcohol treatment after assaulting a woman in Hereford.
Scott Dean entered a guilty plea to one count of assault causing actual bodily harm when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford in February.
The court heard from prosecutor Owen Beale that the 35-year-old had assaulted a woman in Hereford on January 27.
Dean, of Standale Road, Hereford, was handed a community order lasting until August 25, 2026.
He must undergo two nine-month drug and alcohol treatment programmes, which involve providing samples. These will be provided by Turning Point.

He needs to attend regular probation appointments and complete the "building better relationships" programme.
He was also ordered to pay a fine of £50, prosecution costs of £100 and a victim surcharge of £114.
He was not ordered to pay compensation to the victim, with magistrates saying he had limited means and needed a chance to "rebuild their relationship".
