A TEENAGER from Herefordshire has been put into care after he was convicted of an assault.
The 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, entered a not guilty plea to one count of assault causing actual bodily harm when he appeared before magistrates in Worcester in January.
But he was found guilty of the offence at Worcester Magistrates' Court on February 26.
Prosecutor Mr Mitchinson said the boy assaulted someone causing them actual bodily harm on January 8 in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.

The boy, who gave the court a Herefordshire address, is now banned from contacting the victim directly or indirectly, and will be in the care of Worcestershire County Council until at least his sentencing on March 13.
He must live and sleep in accommodation provided by the council during this time.
He is under a curfew between 7pm and 7am each day, and must wear an electronic monitoring tag.
A pre-sentencing report will be prepared by the probation service before his next court appearance.
