A DRINK-DRIVER has been banned from the roads after he caused a crash on a Herefordshire A-road.
Artur Samoilenko was behind the wheel of a BMW 5 Series that crashed into another vehicle on the A4172 near Ledbury on December 9, 2023.
After a roadside breath test came back positive, the 30-year-old was arrested and taken to Hereford Police Station.
The lowest breath test reading there was 52 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg.

"In interview, he admitted being the driver and being responsible for the accident," said Lauren Millichip, prosecuting at Hereford Magistrates Court.
"He told the officers he had been drinking some rum."
Matt Lewis, for Samoilenko, who is of Newent, said his client regrets what happened and understands that he will be disqualified.
Magistrates subsequently banned him for 14 months and fined him £120. He will also have to pay court costs of £70 and a surcharge of £48 respectively.
