A HEREFORDSHIRE hotel has reaped the awards of a large investment from its owners... with a robot now part of the team!
The Pilgrim Hotel, which sits off the busy A49 in Much Birch, has had a lot of changes over the past two years, including using a robotic lawn mower.
"We were keen to explore the benefits of robotic lawn mowers and following a successful trial, all our grounds have been maintained by a Husqvarna Robot since September 2023," said Armin Brocksom, a director at the Pilgrim Hotel.

"This enables our groundsman to spend more time on the pretty things."
Other work that has taken place include having five bedrooms designed by interior designer Domonique Robertson that contain original features from the hotel's past, having a penthouse suite and installing solar panels.
"Our current project is the introduction of the Garden Suite category of bedrooms," added Mr Brocksom.
"These will be our most luxurious bedrooms to date in the hotel and come complete with their own 50” smart TV, garden patio terrace, unbeatable Herefordshire Views and a secret surprise.
"The owners are planning on rejuvenating the entire hotel for the long term and ensuring that locals, guests and visitors are at the heart of every decision made.
Meanwhile, the hotel has recently been awarded a five-star hygiene rating. This follows an extensive six-figure investment into the commercial kitchen.
"We are delighted to get five stars," said head chef, Deepak Kumar.
"It shows all of the hard work that my kitchen team and I put in every day. This is not the end but just a point in time to reflect on years of hard work.”
