A CLOSED Herefordshire pub looks set to reopen soon, with new landlords at the helm.
The Trumpet Inn, between Ledbury and Hereford, has been closed for some time, with a notice placed outside the building in January stating that it was closed until further notice due to staffing issues.
The pub is a local landmark, with thousands of vehicles passing it daily as they navigate the crossroads that links both the Hereford to Ledbury and Leominster to Gloucester roads.
A spokesperson for Wadworth, the pub company that operated the Trumpet Inn, told the Hereford Times at the time that it had put on the market and sold at the end of 2023.

But now it looks like the pub will be reopening at the end of this month, with a new Facebook page launched to promote it.
A post on the page said that the Trumpet Inn has now been taken over.
"This beautiful iconic pub is now freehold and an independent family-run business," the post said.
"We want to welcome you all back into The Trumpet."
The pub we be open Wednesday to Saturday from March 27 onwards, the post said, promising locally sourced home-cooked food and a "great selection of drinks, including cask ales".
