IT IS nearly 10 years since an iconic Hereford pub closed.
The Cotterell Arms was very much part of the community in Whitecross.
Gill and Noel Kirby took on the Cotterell Street boozer in 1988. However, Mr Kirby sadly died in 2014, aged 59.
His wife continued at the pub for the next few months before leaving on April 29, 2014.

At the time, Mrs Kirby said: “It has not sunk in yet that I am leaving and it probably won’t until I walk out of the door for the last time,”
“I have decided that I will be leaving at the end of April and the pub is now up for sale."
The pub - which is now three terraced houses - staged a darts competition as a farewell.
It featured professional player Jim Williams, while Terry Jenkins' son, Graham also went along to support the event.
Mrs Kirby has continued to run successful darts competitions at the Richmond Club, off Edgar Street.
