A BIKER who suffered injuries after a crash near Hereford today (April 3) has sparked a large emergency service response.
The male motorcyclist was taken from the scene of the crash in Whitestone to Hereford County Hospital to be treated.
The Midlands Air Ambulance landed at the scene after being called at around 10.30am, but the patient was taken to hospital in a land ambulance.
Police also attended the crash. A spokesperson said: "We received a call around 10.50am this morning (April 3) with a report of a collision.
"Officers have attended the incident to find a motorcycle and a van involved. The motorcyclist is being cared for by emergency services."
The ambulance service said that the biker's injuries are not believed to be serious.
Traffic was heavy in Whitestone and Bartestree following the crash, with Google Maps traffic data showing queues around the area of the incident, which is near Hereford.
