A MAN has been remanded in custody after admitting five attacks in Herefordshire on and around Christmas Day.
Jerzy Kobialka appeared before magistrates in Worcester earlier this month and entered guilty pleas to three counts of assault by beating and two counts of assault thereby occasioning actual bodily harm. This was despite previously denying his role in the attacks at an earlier hearing in March.
The attacks were in Ross-on-Wye between November 30 and December 25, with two on Christmas Day itself.
The court heard from prosecutor Andrew Mitchinson that the victims of the assaults were a woman and a man.

Kobialka, who is of Thunderbolt Way, Tipton, has been remanded in custody until his sentencing on April 26, with the probation service to provide a pre-sentence report.
He was remanded to enable more inquiries to be carried out and for the most suitable method of determining the case to be found, without the defendant interfering with any witnesses or obstructing the course of justice.
Kobialka had previously broken his bail conditions, meaning the magistrates decided not to grant bail again.
