A SEX offender from Herefordshire has admitted committing child sex offences.
Thomas Worsfold pleaded guilty to one count of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and one count of attempting to cause or incite a female child under 13 to engage in sexual activity.
He wanted to obtain sexual gratification by talking about sex and masturbation with a 12-year-old girl, and asked the victim to perform a sex act on herself.
The court heard that he did not reasonably believe she was over 16.
The victim's identity is protected by a court order due to her age.

Worsfold, 35, of Sutton St Nicholas, committed the sex offences between January 4 and March 22, 2023.
He admitted the offences on April 9 this year at Worcester Crown Court. He will be sentenced on May 31.
He first appeared at Hereford Magistrates' Court earlier this year charged with the offences, and was represented by defence solicitor Marilena Divitantonio. At the time he was remanded on conditional bail and told not to have unsupervised contact with children unless approved by social services.
