A HEREFORDSHIRE driver was caught out while almost twice the limit.
Nathan Powell, of Three Crosses, Ross-on-Wye, appeared before magistrates on April 8 after entering a guilty plea to one count of driving while over the alcohol limit, one count of using a motor vehicle on a road or public place without insurance and one count of driving while disqualified.
Taunton Magistrates’ Court heard from prosecutor Sonia Croft that the 34-year-old was caught out in Tower Hill, Williton, Somerset, after getting behind the wheel of a Nissan Qashqai while over the alcohol limit on March 23.
An evidential breath test revealed that Powell had 61 microgrammes (mg) of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, almost twice the limit of 35 mg.

Powell has been handed an interim disqualification from driving until his next court appearance.
