A HEREFORDSHIRE couple are celebrating after being recognised in a national awards scheme that champions outstanding holiday homes.
Katy and Robert Pugh own Orchard House, which is part of their farm in Risbury, near Leominster.
Previously an empty cottage, the couple bought the property in 2020, and with help from their family, started renovating it.

The holiday let is surrounded by the farm’s fields which, at certain points of the year, are home to lambs and calves.
The property offers four bedrooms, a colourful kitchen-diner and has a large, enclosed garden, complete with a hot tub.
Glowing feedback from guests has seen the Pugh's win Sykes Holiday Cottages’ Sykes Stars programme, one of only 32 owners who have received the award after going above and beyond to provide an exceptional service to their guests.
“We are thrilled to have won this award for Orchard House and it has really been a team effort from start to finish," said Mrs Pugh.
"The little touches make all the difference to our guests, and we work hard to ensure everyone has a special time when staying with us.
"I do all the cleaning and maintenance of the property myself along with a friend, which makes any positive feedback even more rewarding. Sykes has also been so supportive since we started out holiday letting journey and I've been able to ring up and ask any questions, no matter how big or small.”
Bev Dumbleton, chief operating officer at Sykes Holiday Cottages, added: “We love to showcase the incredible mix of holiday lets available in the UK and those that feature on our Sykes Stars are some of the very best.
“We know just how committed these owners are to providing fantastic breaks for their guests and it’s great to be able to recognise this.
“Our winners make an invaluable contribution to the UK holiday let market and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for them in the future, especially as Herefordshire continues to be a thriving staycation hotspot.”
