A HEREFORDSHIRE driver was caught out while more than twice the alcohol limit.
Fiona Paterson, of Brookside, Colwall, appeared before magistrates on April 17 and entered a guilty plea to one count of driving while over the alcohol limit.
Hereford Magistrates’ Court heard from prosecutor Lauren Millichip that the 61-year-old was caught out in College Road, Hereford, after getting behind the wheel of a Dacia Logan while over the alcohol limit on February 28.

An evidential breath test revealed that Paterson had 83 microgrammes (mg) of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath, over twice the limit of 35 mg.
Paterson was handed an 18-month disqualification from driving, a £120 fine and an order to pay £135 in court costs and a £48 victim surcharge. She must make payment in full by May 15.
She has the opportunity to reduce her ban by 18 weeks if she completes a drink-drive awareness course by April 12 next year.
