A NEW venue at a historic Herefordshire house will open this week.
Parkfields, a stunning Georgian house in Ponts Hill near Ross-on-Wye, has been acquired by the Chelsea Group, and it is being opened as a corporate and special events business. It will be available to book as an exclusive-use venue for corporate away-days and residentials, as well as occasions like wedding celebrations.
The venue has seven conference rooms, 22 individually designed bedrooms, and a selection of rooms licensed for civil wedding ceremonies, with a total guest capacity of 90 inside.
Parkfields' general manager Amy Williams told the Hereford Times: "With a legacy of excellence and a forward-thinking approach, the Chelsea Group is dedicated to creating extraordinary experiences for every guest for both corporate and special celebrations."
She added: "Parkfields isn't just a venue; it's a complete experience tailored to the exacting standards of our guests.
"Whether it's arranging team-building activities or specialised menus, no detail is too small for us.
"Looking ahead, Chelsea Parkfields is set to host a series of pop-up restaurant dates and stay-and-dine weekends, showcasing the best of Herefordshire produce. We are excited to offer these unique experiences."
Parkfields is marketed as a completely bespoke service that can offer anything from an fun party with a barbecue, to a corporate event with a buffet lunch, to a grand wedding with a full banquet-style meal.
The venue is also home to the Leadership Trust, a Herefordshire-based training provider for leader development that has been operating since the 1970s.

Chelsea Parkfields prides itself on reducing food miles by using local suppliers, as well as on the natural and architectural beauty of the site. The 11-acre grounds include winding gardens and ancient woodland, all set within the beautiful Herefordshire countryside.
It has a courtyard outbuilding that was once a vibrant art gallery and studio, and will now be used as part of the event-hosting space.
A party is being hosted to officially launch the venue this week, and enquiries about events can be made by calling 01989 750 158 or emailing Ms Williams at gm@chelsea-parkfields.com
