AS potholes seem to be in the news a lot these days, I would like to draw your attention to a query I and others have raised locally but seem unable to get an answer to.

That is the surface patching works on the C1190 to the A438 by Balfour Beatty.

This stretch of road has had some patching work done but a very large stretch of it has been totally resurfaced, with beautifully cut drainage grips and vehicle passing places.

Letters should not exceed 250 words and local issues take precedence.

The question being asked is why? When the traffic on this road is minimal compared with the traffic on the C1189 Breinton Lane.

The volume, nature and size of traffic on the C1189 has increased exponentially but warrants only this “patching” process which does not last five minutes, does not appear to be effective in any way, and is a waste of taxpayers’ money.

I follow the pothole saga with interest as a council taxpayer.
