A COMPANY has spoken following a fire at one of its sites in Herefordshire.
Four fire engines. from Ross-on-Wye, Hereford, Peterchurch and Upton-upon-Severn respectively, plus the water carrier from Peterchurch and the incident command unit from Ledbury, were called to Avara Food's feeding mill site in Allensmore.
A 10,000 storage container that was partially full of fuel was well alight and was extinguished using two hose reel jets and a compressed air foam system.

A fire service spokesperson confirmed there were no casualties and no other emergency services attended the incident that happened shortly before 5.10pm last Friday (May 10).
An Avara spoksperson said: "On Friday afternoon a small fire broke out on the periphery of our feed mill site at Allensmore, away from the main mill operations.
"The fire service attended promptly and did an excellent job swiftly putting it out.
No one was harmed, and following approval from the fire services Incident Commander, production resumed safely shortly after. Investigations are ongoing into the precise cause of the fire."
