WHILE it’s easy to say that all high streets throughout the country are supposedly dying, there are some, including Bromyard, that are doing quite well, notwithstanding the problems of car parking, the lack of a bank and the negativism of its keyboard warriors (Letters, May 9).
The success of the recent Party in the Park suggests that the town has a vibrant community both young and old which will easily tackle the downsides.

The town has a deep history of looking after itself while all around was mayhem and chaos, and tourists from all over the country seem attracted by the quaint feel to the town and the preponderance of independent shops.
Come and look around for yourself, have a quiet coffee, something to eat, look around the shops, find out about the history, and follow one of several walking trails. Maybe make new friends and come back again! And repeat elsewhere in this wonderful part of the countryside.
