A HEREFORD car park has reopened after closing on the weekend when caravans arrived on site.
The barriers were dropped at Hereford Leisure Centre car park in Holmer Road on May 26 after a large number of caravans parked at the site, in the overflow area of the car park.
Cars arriving at the car park were being turned around by people in hi-vis jackets at the gate.
Police were seen at the car park in the afternoon, but have said that the incident they were attending "did not involve any caravans".
A spokesperson for the police said: "We received a report of an assault around 10am on Sunday morning (May 26) at Hereford Leisure Centre in Holmer Road.
"Officers attended the incident and an investigation is ongoing.
"It didn't involve any caravans."
The leisure centre itself, which is run by Halo, did not close as a result of the car park being closed.
