A DRUG-DRIVER from Herefordshire has been handed a hefty ban after he was caught while over five times the limit.
James Bayley entered guilty pleas to two counts of driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit and one count of using a motor vehicle on a road without third party insurance.
The court heard from prosecutor Owen Beale that the 48-year-old had been caught behind the wheel of a Ford Focus in Monnow Crescent, Hereford, while over the drug-drive limit on October 6 last year.

An evidential blood test revealed he had 32 microgrammes (mg) of cocaine and 253 mg of benzoylecgonine in a litre of blood. This exceeded the legal limit for both drugs, which are 10 mg and 50 mg respectively.
Bayley, of Somers Walk, Hereford, was fined £120 and disqualified from driving for three years.
He must also pay prosecution costs of £85.
