Dealer jailed for HUGE drug enterprise
A Herefordshire drug dealer caught by police has been jailed for nine years.
David Evans ran a "refined and comprehensive drugs supply enterprise" into Hereford, Worcester Crown Court heard.
Evans, of Primrose Avenue, Clehonger, was said to be the leader of the enterprise.
Drug dealers jailed for running cocaine operation
Two Hereford drug dealers have been jailed for running a cocaine supplying operation.
Lee Jones, aged 37, of Whitecross Road, Hereford, was sentenced to three years at Worcester Crown Court yesterday (May 13) after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine.
Meanwhile, Lewis Hughes-Cound, 26, of Hever Road, Lower Bullingham, Hereford, was sentenced to 33 months after admitting to being concerned in the cocaine and possession of cocaine and was sentenced to 33 months.
Man jailed for stealing makeup from Leominster Pharmacy
A homeless man has been jailed for stealing makeup from a Herefordshire shop.
The stolen makeup products were valued at £155.89, and were taken from Leominster Pharmacy by Anthony Shingler last month. On the same day, he stole eight lamb chops from the Co-Op in Leominster, which were worth £44 altogether.
Shingler, of no fixed abode, was handed a four-week prison sentence. He was ordered to pay compensation of £155.89 to Leominster Pharmacy and £44 to the Co-Op. No order was made for prosecution costs or a victim surcharge.
Paedophile caught with child porn pictures
A paedophile from Hereford who was caught with hundreds of child porn pictures has appeared in court.
Hereford Magistrates’ Court heard how Brandon Horncastle possessed almost 400 prohibited images of children, and had also made more than 40 indecent photographs of a child.
Horncastle, represented by defence solicitor Chris Read, will appear at Worcester Crown Court for sentencing in June.
Knifeman stole money bags from Belmont Abbey monks
A man has been sentenced for three incidents in Hereford, including carrying a knife and burgling money bags from monks.
Stephen Bullock was convicted of one count of possessing a knife blade in a public place and pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary.
He has been sentenced to 10 months in prison, suspended for 18 months, at Hereford Magistrates’ Court.

Suspended sentence for drug-driver who took cocaine
A driver caught out in Leominster has been handed a suspended prison sentence after testing positive for a class A drug.
Christopher Gray entered guilty pleas to two counts of driving while over the drug limit when he appeared before magistrates in May.
Gray, of Paxton Road, Birmingham, was handed an eight-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, and disqualified from driving for 32 months.
