A POPULAR Herefordshire barbers has moved to a new home.

John’s Barbers in Leominster, which has been based in 3 High Street since 2009, has relocated up the road to 13 to 15 High Street.

When it reopens, John’s will be retaining their pre-existing opening times, being closed on Monday, open 9am to 5pm on Tuesday through Friday and 8am to 2pm on Saturdays.

The new location seems to be a departure in terms of appearance from the Tudor, timber-framed look of their previous premises, with the shopfront embracing a more modern grey and white colour scheme.

An intricately designed window decal pays homage to the barber’s traditional roots however, depicting the words ‘John’s Barbers, est.2009’ surrounded by Victorian floral designs.

The shop was previously home to Amelia Jack, an independent gift and lifestyle store which closed earlier this year.

As well as moving away from the all-grey appearance that the shopfront donned during its time as Amelia Jack, the John’s Barbers team have also decided to cover up the location’s distinctive Maypole Dairies doorway mosaic.
