THE work carried out to the river Lugg in Kingsland by farmer John Price is no more than vandalism (Is he vindicated? May 23).

It will take years to put the damage right, if ever. He deserved his prison sentence and more. The reasons given in your piece are flawed. I have zero sympathy.
He should be ashamed and made to spend whatever it costs to mitigate this mindless destruction.
