A VW Golf driver has been banned from the roads after he was caught driving dangerously in Hereford.
Jonathan Pearce entered a guilty plea to one count of driving dangerously when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford in May.
The court heard from prosecutor Owen Beale that the 20-year-old defendant had been caught out driving “badly” on the A49 in Hereford on January 17.
There was said to be a “lack of attention”, as he was driving “in excess speed on the other side of the road” in bad weather.

Pearce, of Chepstow Road, Raglan, was handed a 12-month disqualification and handed a suspended prison sentence for the offence, with magistrates saying that they had taken his guilty plea to the charge into account when coming to their decision on the penalty.
He was handed a 16-week prison sentence suspended for two years.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £154 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
