AN ABUSIVE attacker has been in court after committing a string of offences in Herefordshire.
Gary Shaw appeared before magistrates in Hereford for sentencing in May after entering guilty pleas to two counts of criminal damage to property valued under £5,000, one count of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress, and one count of assault by beating at an earlier hearing.
The court heard from prosecutor Paul John that the 39-year-old had carried out the string of offences in Kington on June 19 last year. He caused harassment, alarm or distress to a police officer, attacked a man by beating him, and caused damage to a car and a door.

The damage to the car, a Suzuki Alto, was valued at £657 while the damage to the front door of a Kington home was of an unknown value.
He will be sentenced later this month, with a pre-sentence report to be prepared by the probation service.
Shaw, of Portcullis Lane, Ludlow, was released on unconditional bail ahead of his sentencing.
