THE area damaged in Kingsland by farmer John Price is classified as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (Is he vindicated? May 23).
This means it is a part of our heritage and must be maintained for future generations. Mr Price did not act upon the advice of any experts on either flooding or wildlife. He was convicted on more than one charge.

The judge in summing up said he had committed ecological damage on an industrial scale.
His defence used mental health issued leading to chaotic thinking. He has shown no remorse.
