A Hereford burger restaurant has not only been making delicious culinary creations but has also been making waves in the online world.

A Rule of Tum is amassing an astonishing social media audience with posts of their exceptional dishes showcasing their acute attention to detail. One of their most viral posts comes from the group’s first-ever restaurant, Burger Shop Hereford, which opened 10 years ago.

A post featuring their Worcester Blue burger has hit a staggering 1.1 million views alone.

The group wishes to make clear that their offerings aren’t the kind of burgers that influencers excessively stuff with fillings for the sole purpose of gaining likes, without actually delivering on their followers’ expectations in reality.

We at the Hereford Times were intrigued to find out why this artisan Hereford restaurant was receiving so much online attention for their blue burger and if they were indeed as genuinely delicious as they are photogenic.

It was early afternoon on June 14 when my colleague Bridie Adams and I arrived at the Burger Shop, before being led to an outdoor, canvas-covered seating area known as The Yard. The staff were very friendly and helpful, with someone promptly popping over to order our drinks almost as soon as we had settled into our seats.

After a brief 15-minute wait, it was time for the main event. The Worcester Blue burger that had single-handedly taken Instagram by storm was sat before me, oozing with the delicious blue cheese to which it owes its name. The scrumptious grass-fed beef patties and generous blue cheese covering were complemented by sweet beer onions, a delicious roast garlic mayo, Stokes' ketchup and some refreshingly fresh, crisp baby gem lettuce.

The Burger Shop’s staff and the viral, £12.00 bargain burger itself made for a truly delightful dining experience. It must be said that social media may be renowned for catering to a horde of approval-hungry fakers, but this Hereford business’s outstanding, flavour- and filling-packed burger definitely lives up to its reputation.
