A POLICE cordon was thrown across a graveyard in a Herefordshire town after a suspected explosive device was found.
Officers were called to The Priory in Leominster at 11am on Saturday, June 15, swiftly followed by an explosive ordnance disposal team, after the discovery of a suspected grenade by a member of the public.
A large portion of the church's graveyard was cordoned off, with police officers standing guard and passers-by turned away from the area, while the suspected explosive was examined.

But it was soon clear that there was no serious risk to the public, with the bomb squad only paying a flying visit to the town.
And now West Mercia Police has revealed exactly what was found.
"Experts from explosives ordnance disposal were called to the scene to assess the grenade, who confirmed it was a toy and no further action was required," a police spokesperson said.
