A MAN has been injured in a robbery outside a Herefordshire supermarket.

The robbery happened at around 7.30pm on June 5, a West Mercia Police spokesperson said, with officers now hunting for witnesses.

A man was assaulted, suffering minor injuries, and his belongings were taken in the incident outside the Co-op in Leominster's Dishley Street, the spokesperson said. 

Investigating officer PC Matt Price said: “I know an incident like this will bring concern to the local community, but we believe it was an isolated incident and there is no wider risk to the public.

“I would like to speak to anybody who may have seen or have any information about the incident to help with our enquires”.
